USCIS announced a final rule from DHS that increases the fees for “premium processing,” a service that can speed up USCIS review for certain immigration benefits.

The fee change is tied to inflation. DHS says the USCIS Stabilization Act allows premium processing fees to be adjusted every two years to protect the real value of the premium service.

USCIS also says the additional revenue will be used to provide premium processing services and to support broader USCIS adjudication and naturalization work, including addressing processing backlogs.
