DHS posted a press release on August 13, 2026, saying ICE deported additional people DHS describes as “illegal aliens” with criminal convictions. The statement frames the removals as part of an effort to reduce crime.
The release names five people and says they were deported in the prior week. DHS describes Daniel Romero-Alverez (Mexico) as having convictions for voluntary manslaughter and illegal re-entry, and arrests for DUI. It describes Yero Lee (South Korea) as having a conviction for attempted murder.
DHS also says Francisco Lux Juarez (Guatemala) was deported after a conviction for rape (described as “strongarm”), and Floyd Tayler (Canada) after convictions for unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault. Finally, DHS says Lezman Donery Gomez Lopez (Honduras) was deported after a felony burglary conviction.
